Be a choose well-ympics champ
Special NHS athletes are heading out across Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire to remind people not to Bolt to A&E but to remember the pentathlon of other services available to them.
The ‘athletes’ from NHS Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire will be in town centre’s and other locations during the Olympics giving people the opportunity to become a Choose Well champion and have their photo taken with some famous faces. They will also be handing out information on treatment options including Self care, NHS Direct, Pharmacy, GP Surgeries and Minor Injury Units.
Chris Gomm, campaign coordinator at NHS Milton Keynes and Northamptonshire, said: "The Olympics are a fantastic reminder of the capabilities of the human body, however, we all suffer injuries and fall ill. Our athletes are out and about reminding people of the NHS services they have available to them while at the same time giving the whole family the opportunity to have their photo taken with some famous faces."
